Measurement Invariance and Construct Validity of the Femininity Ideology Scale (FIS)
The purpose of this research project is to assess aspects of femininity and several related variables. Specifically, we are interested in assessing the measurement invariance of the FIS among men and women and people of different races, and to also assess the construct validity of the FIS and its subscales. Participation is open to both men and women who are at least 18 years old. We anticipate that the study should take about 30-45 minutes to complete. Gender Role Ideology Factors
The purpose of this research project is to examine factors related to one’s beliefs about what it means to be a man or a woman. Participants will be asked to respond to an online survey, which should take no more than 15-25 minutes to complete. Participation is open to men who are at least 18 years old. The aim for the present study is to assess the validity of a measure of masculinity in terms of its relationships to measures of reference group identity and mental health/substance use. Participants will be asked to respond to an online survey which should take no more than 30-45 minutes. Participation is open to men who are at least 18 years old. Masculinity, Friends and Family, & Attitudes towards Gay Men
The purpose of this research project is to assess the relationships between contact with sexual minority persons, masculinity and attitudes towards gay men. We anticipate that the study should take approximately 10 minutes to complete in one sitting. Participation is open to straight men who are at least 18 years old. Health Behaviors, Quality of Life, and Masculinity Among Self-Identified Trans Men
This study investigates the relationship between masculinity, health behaviors, and quality of life among self-identified trans men. This information you provide will be used to expand our knowledge of masculinity in the trans community. In order to participate you must be at least 18 years of age, living in the United States, and identify as a trans man. The survey takes approximately 30 minutes. After completing the study you will be given an opportunity to enter a drawing for one of six $25 gift cards to Amazon.com. All data collected will be anonymous. Contact:
