The Heart of It: Compassion and Self-Compassion in Men

Facilitator: Dr. Edward M. Adams

Developing compassion in men is at the heart of our intervention efforts. When we gather at the Division 51 hospitality suite, men and women will participate in a conversation about the essential role of compassion and self-compassion in men. I will share my experiences leading groups of men and women on compassion as well as the impact on men who attend intensive retreats to explore self-compassion. In turn, I hope we share our ideas and experiences and figure out ways to carry the conversation beyond the APA convention.
